As far as changes to the 2020 Kicks go, Nissan added more standard safety features and made updates to the engine and design. Let’s go through what’s new on the kicks and dig into specs and features for the three trim level options.
Advanced Safety Technology on the Nissan Kicks
Nissan added standard Nissan Safety Shield 360 technology to all 2020 Nissan Kicks models. This suite of advanced technology includes Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Rear Automatic Braking, Lane Departure Warning, radar-based Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and High Beam Assist. The Kicks SV and SR trims also include Rear Door Alert.
2020 Nissan Kicks Design
The 2020 Nissan Kicks sports a very unique and dramatic design. The exterior looks like it sports a floating roof as a result of wrap-around styled windows and a blacked-out C-pillar. The Kicks is available in seven exterior colors: Brilliant Silver Metallic, Gun Metallic, Super Black, Cayenne Red Metallic, Fresh Powder, Aspen White TriCoat and Deep Blue Pearl. There are also five exterior colors with two-tone color combinations.
What Trim Levels Does the Kicks Come in?
The 2020 Nissan Kicks received few updates to its trim level options. The Kicks is available in the same three trim level options as the 2019 model. These include the Kicks S FWD, Kicks SV FWD, and Kicks SR FWD. All models are powered by a 1.6-liter DOHC 16-valve 4-cylinder engine with 122 horsepower and 114 lb.-ft. of torque.

The other two trims for the 2019 Nissan Kicks, the SV and the SR, offer each of the colors listed above with the exception of Fresh Powder.
Also note that some colors will require a higher cost. The Cayenne Red Metallic/Super Black, Gun Metallic/Monarch Orange Metallic, and the Deep Blue Pearl/Fresh Powder all cost $200 extra for these color combinations.
