What is the ground clearance of the 2019 Nissan Rogue Sport?
2019 Nissan Rogue Sport Ground Clearance
Ground clearance, the minimum distance between the lowest parts of a vehicle body and the road, is an important figure for those looking to tackle rough terrain. When the chassis stays up high, it doesn’t get scratched up by rocks and other obstructions.
With an adventure-oriented vehicle like the 2019 Nissan Rogue Sport, having a good ground clearance is important to solidify its off-road capabilities. However, you don’t want the figure to be too high, because an overly-lofty ride height will lower handling abilities and increase rollover tendencies.
With all this in mind, a capable crossover needs to find the balance between handling and height. So, what is the ground clearance of the 2019 Nissan Rogue Sport?
The 2019 Nissan Rogue Sport has a minimum ground clearance of 7.4 inches. This is the same on every trim, in both all-wheel drive and front-wheel drive configurations.
For comparison, other compact crossover SUVs such as the 2019 Hyundai Tucson and 2019 Kia Sportage both have 6.4 inches of ground clearance. We think this is a bit low, and could result in some difficulty out on the trail. Full-size SUVs tend to be higher, since they’re based on a truck rather than a car platform, and can stretch up to 9 or 10 inches of ground clearance. Ride heights this tall have several disadvantages, such as being more difficult to get into along with the aforementioned handling problems.
We think the 2019 Nissan Rogue Sport strikes a perfect middle ground between maintaining excellent handling and accessibility while still being high enough to take on rugged terrain with ease.

Crossovers and SUVs are among the most competitive cars on the road today. In order to generate sales, however, they must be state-of-the-art, well-equipped, and—above all else—well-rounded. As a result, the best-selling vehicles are also the most well-rounded. Take, for instance, the 2018 Nissan Rogue Sport. Delivering on virtually all fronts, this compact but commendable vehicle provides its owners with everything they need. For example, many SUV families agree that cargo space is a top priority. If a car can’t fit a family’s gear, then it won’t be coming home with them. Likewise, the car in question must also have a spacious interior that comfortably seats everyone. Naturally, the Rogue Sport has no problem meeting—and exceeding—these expectations. So, what are the 2018 Nissan Rogue Sport passenger volume and cargo space?
How much room is in the 2018 Nissan Rogue Sport?
First and foremost, the interior passenger volume of the 2018 Nissan Rogue Sport is 96 cubic feet. Simply put, that should be more than enough room for you and your crew.
