Nissan Ariya Concept Offers Glimpse of the Future at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show
Nissan Ariya Concept Design Specs and EV Capabilities
We recently shared images of the Nissan IMk, an EV concept containing design cues that appear to be taken from 30 years in the future. Already, we’re here to share another concept model from Nissan, this one also appearing at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show.
We are talking about the Nissan Ariya concept, another vehicle with EV capabilities and exciting design specs. So, let’s dive in, and first take a look at how Nissan designed the vehicle.
We will let the photos do most of the talking, but it’s worth noting how “realistic” this car looks. While some concept models really push the boundaries of current vehicle design, the Ariya actually looks like a crossover that could appear in the market within the next few years. Design features of the car include an electrified V-motion “shield” and an interior designed for lounge-like comfort. Included inside the Ariya is a large display combining the instrument cluster and infotainment system.
EV Capabilities in the Ariya Concept
Like we said, the Ariya is an EV concept, so it is powered by a 100% electric drive system. But, it’s also engineered for high performance, and this is clear with the inclusion of a 4×4 system.
The Ariya is powered by a two-motor system. One is located in the rear and one is located in the front. So, you can expect near-immediate torque delivery, getting the car the power it needs even in high-performance driving situations.
The concept also features the ProPILOT 2.0 technology, allowing for hands-off driving while in a dedicated and marked lane. The system uses changes to the interior lighting to indicate when the system is enabled, allowing for a more relaxed atmosphere.
It’s exciting to see what Nissan is up to with concept models like the Ariya. To stay updated on more of the latest Nissan news, check back to the Charlie Clark Nissan El Paso blog.-->

Nissan IMk Concept EV Design Features at 2019 Tokyo Motor Show
It’s always exciting when Nissan comes out with a new vehicle, but from a design perspective, some of the most visually thrilling cars are those that don’t make it to production. We are talking about concept cars like the Nissan IMk EV, with enticing design features that will be unveiled at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show.
Don’t get us wrong… Nissan models look amazing. But, when designing concept cars, automakers have the freedom to really stretch their creative wings and, in some cases, go a little crazy. The payoff is that some of those design cues will appear in future production models in some shape or form. In the case of the IMk concept, Nissan has created something particularly unique.

Interior Design Features in the IMk
As for the exterior, we’ll let the photos do most of the talking. But, as you can tell, the design is compact, painted in a gorgeous gold color and has a boxy, yet futuristic, city car feel.
Inside, Nissan designers wanted to go for the comfortable feeling of a café. Bench seats are equipped in the front… something that hasn’t been a feature in vehicles for decades but that definitely give a roomier feeling to the car.
Though designed with a futuristic appeal, there are more traditional design elements in the IMk too, such as the wood slats. By using a technique known as kigumi to join the wood pieces, these elements bring a little bit of the outside world into the car and match well with the coffee-colored carpeting.
Still, there is plenty of tech implemented in the IMk, such as interior accent lighting. In addition, you’ll find the IMk doesn’t have side door mirrors. Instead, cameras take their place, projecting a view of the car’s blind spot onto screens inside the cabin.
The IMk concept is a great example of how Nissan is pushing the limits of automotive design and technology. To see what else Nissan is up to, check back to the Charlie Clark Nissan El Paso blog.-->

All-electric, zero-emission prototype sparks interest at Goodwood
What is the Nissan BladeGlider concept sports car?
This weekend at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in England, Nissan is rolling out several of its most-wanted sports cars including the GT-R NISMO and MY17, as well as the BladeGlider. The NISMO and MY17 have made quite the names for themselves as of late, but you may be wondering, “What is the Nissan BladeGlider concept sports car?”
What are the Nissan BladeGlider specs?
The BladeGlider is an all-electric, zero-emission concept car determined to flip the electric vehicle (EV) market on its head. Not only is the BladeGlider an EV, but it is also the future of sports cars. With the ability to go from 0-60 mph in less than five seconds with a top speed of 115 mph, the BladeGlider certainly stands out from rival EVs as it leaves them in the past.
What does the BladeGlider mean for future Nissan releases?
While the BladeGlider is not yet scheduled for a production model, it is evidence of a few very important things. First, Nissan is on its way to giving the world a whole new kind of EV. Second, although the Bladeglider itself may not be a production car, there may very well come a day when a Nissan production-line EV packs the same punch. Third, and perhaps most importantly, the BladeGlider proves that Nissan makes its EVs the same way it makes its gas-powered vehicles – better than the competition.Read more: What are the 2017 Nissan Titan and Titan XD King Cab Prices? We hope this has helped to answer your question, “What is the Nissan BladeGlider concept sports car?” Be sure to follow our blog for the latest info on the BladeGlider and many other Nissan vehicles.
